That's the verdict of our poll on the suggestion of on-street parking charges polled on our website during September and October, yet Tavistock chamber of commerce said it was extremely pleased that 83 of the 140 questionnaires to businesses in the town were returned and of those responses, 73% were in favour of the idea in principle.
Our polls found 27.1% felt on-street charges were not needed, while 20% felt On-street charges will stop visitors coming to the town!
16.7% thought on-street charges will not help local business, and only 6.3% thought Tavistock needs on-street parking charges.
