The weather held for this years Tavistock Carnival, the sun shone through the clouds and highlighted the bright colours of the procession of floats bands and majorettes.
The Fire Service with two engines and Firemen headed the stream of fantastically decorated carts, lorries and cars, from The Flintstones through to The Wimbles Of Whitchurch, everyone involved had worked hard on their theme.

The Tavistock Carnival is organised each year by the Lions Club of Tavistock
The principal activity of the club is to raise money within the local community for distribution to needy causes locally, nationally and internationally.
